Windows and doors are arranged to maximise cross flow ventilation when required. In summer breezes can sweep through, and hot internal air can escape through high level windows. Vertical column movement allows air to exhaust naturally at high level, with cooler, low level air drawn in to replace it. The creation of micro-climates in areas around the building can also assist in the movement of warm and cool air.
