cooling
In our temperate climate zone we have the potential to use the properties of the internal thermal mass for cooling. During the warm days the thermal mass absorbs the internal heat and during the cool nights the heat is purged through effective ventilation. When operated effectively, this system can moderate the internal temperature, with impressive internal comfort levels achieved.
Depending on the situation, we can also utilize ceiling fans, cool pipes (pipes buried under the building to utilize the thermal mass of earth to naturally cool the air) and low energy evaporative coolers.
