‘esd’ becomes part of the client architect conversation right from the brief development stage. Discussions about building use, performance criteria, comfort levels, materials, siting, project size etc., have implications on the ecological sustainability of the building. We present information and various options that then become part of the project brief.
Once the brief is established, esd issues continue to be considered as we move through each of the project stages. Through design development, documentation and construction, issues of sustainability become part of the decision making process.
